Part of me thinks it won't be YWT, just because it's their morning show for Asia, I think if anything they might just bump it to be from 7-9am HKT instead.
They've been pretty much progressively withdrawing from the Asian market for some years (removing Newstream, all HK-based programming etc) so wouldn't surprise me if they ditched YWT and just focused on the Euro primetime slot.
Yep I would not be shocked if YWT was for the chop and never brought back. However, they do seem to have subtly again having shows more focussed on a particular region (normally whichever is on primetime) while still covering the main global stories.
Connect The World's specialism seems to be the Middle East/parts of Asia where it's primetime as the show airs and 'One World' has a particular focus on Africa. The Europe morning Newsroom editions air on CNN Domestic and seem to cover more US domestic politics as a result than other shows. Given that, it'd then seem odd to not really have a show focussed on Asia given that countries like China & North Korea often feature heavily in the news agenda and there's the Tokyo Olympics shortly. But as you say Asia does seem less of a priority for CNNI these days - a huge chunk of the daytime schedule for Asian viewers is basically the CNN US programmes.
