Will the last person to leave the BBC turn the lights off please? It feels like there’s been quite the exodus in the last few months and Marr is a huge departure given how long he has held that Sunday morning slot.

The thing about that slot is it requires someone who’s more than just a hard-nosed political interviewer.
Aside from the political stuff, there’s the arts element to the show, and on a Sunday morning, a certain amount of warmth is required. Frost and Marr were both good all-rounders in this respect.
Whilst Laura Keunssberg is a good political interviewer, I personally think she might be a bit too cold for this programme. Sopel would be a good fit, although I suspect there will be pressure to choose someone who isn’t a white man.
I’m sure Sophie Raworth’s name had been touted in the past as a possible successor, which might not be a bad shout - although she’s not really renowned as an interviewer.
For my money, I’d love to see Emily Maitliss get the job.
Maybe the bbc wont replace him and will use the opportunity to make a cost saving and just get rid of the Sunday 9am show altogether
Maybe they'll give it to Jo Coburn and then someone like Laura Kuenssberg taking over Politics Live
Didn't Huw want to do something different? Maybe Huw for Politics and events. And find a new 10pm presenter.

Will Andrew still present his show for the rest of the year or is this him totally finished with the BBC as of now, I wonder?
A really surprising move, especially as (if I recall correctly) there was talk online recently that Andrew has created many programmes due to be shown when the Queen dies.
But maybe it's the perfect opportunity to change the Sunday morning show as a format.

Although the Global deal is 'exclusive', I assume Marr will be allowed to do TV projects for other broadcasters.
I really wouldn’t be surprised if BBC Scotland’s ‘The Sunday show’ with Martin Geissler got networked. It’ll be interesting to see what they do as 16 years is a long time
