This morning it was Clare Frisby in Leeds, but the bulletins weren’t split, with Clare going out across both Yorkshire and Yorks & Lincs regions.

So it’ll now be the turn of East Yorks and Lincs viewers to see a random selection of newsreaders that you’ll never see at any other time of day

It was Amanda Harper this morning and she says it’s 8 years since she last did a Breakfast bulletin

They’d be best to have a regular presenter who does the Breakfast bulletins every day, as they used to with Clare Frisby. At least then the viewers would get to know them better and develop a bit of a connection.

Clare Frisby on Breakfast, Ian White on the late, it’s like we’ve rolled back the years.

All we need now is someone at the BBC looking for cost savings to suggest, wouldn’t we save some money if we got the presenters to press all their own buttons!

Not much point keeping Hull open then Wink

Three long running Calendar presenters announced their departures recently - so that is a fair point, will Peter be on Look North much longer? And if not, would they bother to replace him, or just merge Hull LN back into the Leeds edition?
#23
If look north Hull got merged with Leeds. would they just combine the Hull and Leeds titles?
#24
A bit odd to suggest that the continuation of an entire region is based on the presence of one presenter

I was about to watch tonight’s itv calendar on catch up on the website. a bulletin before Covid, before the itv creates ident too appeared.
#26
Some sound problems on tonight's look north (Yorkshire) weather, we could not hear Paul for most of the forecast.
#27
Probably the most accurate forecast for weeks then!

Christine Talbot has been uploading some interesting promotional materials for Calendar. Seems that ITV Yorkshire was still using the Yorkshire TV chevron as late as 2003 on promotional materials, over a year after it was ditched on TV presentation:

I have found the clip of when Duncan was egged in Grimsby back in 2004 (6.25 in).

Also, Paul Mooney made his yearly bank holiday appearance on look north today.

Astons reappeared on the look north Leeds late bulletin last night.
