Presumably Corrie at 9pm for 30 mins, then they appear to be running hour long shows at 9.30pm. So News at Ten pushed back for the whole week it appears.

You'd have thought they'd just run 4 hour long Corries considering it'll be getting displaced regularly over the following month, so bringing an hour forward probably better than airing it against a BBC match.

Just a reminder Rob has opened the chat room for the Masked Dancer. Link in the header.

The dancing feels quite unnecessary in my opinion, it provides no clues as to who the dancer actually is.

It just feels like a worse version of The Masked Singer. It’s got the same titles, same logo, same set, same host, nearly the same judging panel, same format. It’s all too similar to the main show. The way Jonathan messed up and thought that the contestants were singing represents my thoughts on this.

The Masked Dancer originally only got commissioned by FOX because it had done well as a segment on Ellen but fleshing out a segment into a full show is tricky at the best of times.

It didn't feel as playalong as The Masked Singer. Always thought it would be a difficult sell, but I think they needed to do more with the routines so they played a part in the guessing game with clues amongst the staging.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but I think I spotted in the credits that it was filmed in Wembley Arena rather than Bovington, which was possibly still being used for DOI at time of filming?
Only 3m for this though it still was the highest rated show of the day across all channels (except I assume for the Champions League which I don't have the rating for).
This was filmed in April.

I don't understand how this got commissioned. How are the audience, the judges, or ANYONE supposed to know who someone is just by seeing them dance? Yes, they are giving clues to the persons identity but then why limit yourself to dancing as a way of working out who they are? Who not just call it "The Masked Celebrity" and let the contestants do anything they want to tease or mislead you into guessing who they are?
Looking forward to The Masked Traffic Warden coming this Autumn on ITV
