You need to move house to a That's TV local mux area !

That's MUCH easier said than done, though
The slot is gone though - that is essentially why it is closing.

I would imagine Together (The Community Channel) may be for the chop too with it set to lose it's slot but that would be a good fit for Forces TV News and a programming slot if it worked for both.

Can't say I was a fan of what became two archive tv channels with a token news bulletin tagged on it, but I appreciate that especially for Forces TV, it became a lot more accessible when they started acquiring rights to tv shows not scheduled for decades.

I even enjoyed the early stuff they showed when it was military themed- for example they showed all 6 seasons of Hogan's Heroes when ITV4 only showed the first 3 (albeit Forces TV showed some pretty grotty old prints of the first 4 seasons, when ITV4 had HD ones), and I'm not sure if Gomer Pyle USMC had actually ever been shown in the UK before Forces showed it (a shame they didn't show the Andy Grffith Show too, which it was spun off from- also not sure that's ever been shown in the UK even though it's an institution in the US).

Who are you referring to?

One episode in  was one of Chris Langham's last acting roles. He appears in series 2 I think, but because its a continuous farce plot across each series it's near impossible to edit out one episode or scenes with one character as it makes no sense

I hope they hire the people who manage to get these shows in the first place so it can be shown on the established archive channels who themselves repeat the same shows over and over again without their original endcaps.

Looks like Forces TV is closing pretty early today, 11am. The same time when Sky updates its EPG/Freeview changes will happen

A very nice traditional closedown complete with National Anthem and a reminder to switch off your set. Very classy!

This is quite frankly the best closedown I have ever seen

Tell me I wasn't the only one who found that closedown oddly emotional.

The slide at the end there strongly gives me Sky Movies 2002 vibes.
Also known as "Allanbuzzy" on other places.

You are not the only one, I would love to think that the folks at Forces TV did that last closedown with us TV pres anoraks in mind, and I will forever be thankful for that!

Can I get in an early nomination for TV moment of the year? That was a thing of beauty.
Write that down in your copybook now
