I actually think the national anthem move is a good one. Plays well with their audience and gives them some much needed publicity, even if just with the media/Twitter bubble.

Indeed and that's what it is - publicity. Very few of their viewers will actually see it at that time of day.

It reminds me of the fuss over the Radio 4 theme tune that a few people made fuss of but very few people actually ever heard as it was on at 5:30am

It's very oddly edited. Starts off well with shot changes happening at the end of each line on the beat of the music. Looks nice, although putting what looks like a sunset at the start and not the lovely sunrise time-lapse is an odd choice - it's the perfect shot to start with. Although the sun seems to be moving the wrong way at 26"

Then about 30 seconds in they seem to realise they've more shots than they've time for and start chucking them on screen seemingly randomly.

It just looks like it's been thrown together from a lot of stock footage without much thought or craft. It could be so much better

I have to say, as much as we all criticise the channel for their various faults myself included, Their coverage of the political situation has been excellent throughout the day.

If they start their day with the national anthem, why not end their live programming at 11.59pm with another national anthem, showing night time views of Britain before they head into their six hours of replays?

Presumably because they’d rather go straight into the repeat of Farage. And don’t want to draw attention to the fact it’s a’ closedown’ of live programmes
