GB news have their own thing with woke watch etc. The viewers have to come in or the show should be axed. It does not make business sense to be broadcasting a dead horse unless someone is prepared to fund it in order to archive an agenda. Perhaps both channels are doing so.

What is going on with the studio shots? Just switched on to see Colin Brazier a blurry mess. So much noise around him, it seemed to leave no bandwidth left to construct his face properly.

Sky News is supported by Sky subs, distribution fees from outside the UK and an American parent company who have promised to subsidise the channel until 2027.
GB News is supported by a group of Brexit supporting backers who will continue to support the channel not because of bums on seats or ad revenue because it's an ideological project.
I'd debate that Sky's Climate Show and GB News are both ideological projects for both organisations which the backers will take a hit on revenue and ratings as long as people understand the brand values of both brands.

It's been awful for the last couple of weeks or so and is more visible on the online streams than on Sky/Freesat, but it has got really bad to the point as you mention that it's really hard to construct the faces of the presenters properly. As soon as they go to an OB, VT or a video call, the PQ suddenly improves.

It's such a shame, isn't it? I really do think, despite my earlier misgivings, that had GB News focused on being a more lively news channel than the opposition, and focussed much more than they did on making it look and sound decent, that it would have been a really good channel, and a real competitor to both BBC and Sky (because Lord knows, they need it!), As I have said previously - fewer Dan Wootons, more Alastair Stewarts, and the channel would have been in a MUCH better place. (Thought I daresay it wouldn't take much to improve it with what they have already...)

I saw a bit of Brazier earlier (on TV), and before the break the shot looked largely passable although not perfect, then after the break it was terrible. Not sure what could have happened in the break, although I’d assume someone tried to tweak it, but ended up making it worse.

Worth noting that whilst this was breaking yesterday their main topics of the day had been whether banning gay conversion therapy was actually a good thing and even afterwards they were on their anti-BLM crusade yet again. The only clip online about the breaking news was Dan Woottan talking to Farage about it.

Though the fact it's blatantly an attempt to distract from partygate and most people have picked up on that, I wonder if it will even go ahead now. Will be hard to get compliance from the public with the current atmosphere.

You have to say GB News, aren’t afraid to have a go at the government. Just sadly for those on the left, it’s usually from a not being right wing enough or libertarian angle.
