Whilst we are talking about Look North East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, today marks 19 years since the first edition of the programme and here is a clip of it.

Of course, this followed on from the sub-opt hosted by Clare Frisby for about a year before hand. Question: was that presented from Hull or from a studio in Leeds. Also, it is funny seeing how small the set is and them having to cram two presenters in there, but Peter for all those years has sat in a big studio by himself.

It really lost a lot journalistically when Helen Morton left (I know it's not her name now). It just became the Uncle Peter Show.

To such an extent that Look East organised for Alex Dolan and Julie Reigner to both do live weather broadcasts afterwards where as normally Cambridge would take a pre-record.

Look North Yorkshire got into the spirit of Children In Need a bit with some Pudsey Ears for the presenters and even Pudsey in charge of the camera on the evening news, meanwhile Uncle Peter was just business as usual!

Which is strange as he usually gets involved in some fundraising...such as the infamous wheelie bin from a couple of years ago!

I did read his big gig this year seems to be a trip to Burley-In-Wharfedale (i.e. Yorkshire!) to switch on the christmas lights with Paul Hudson :lol:

Those Twitter names are confusing - BBCLookNorth and looknorthBBC. Shouldn't they be BBCLookNorthLeeds or BBCLookNorthYorkshire, and BBCLookNorthHull or BBCLookNorthYorksLincs, which actually indicate which is which? What's the Twitter handle for Newcastle's Look North anyway?
