Wimbledon 2022
Half an hour to fill now on BBC One.
Easy to say with hindsight but running Sewing Bee and the news half an hour late would have been better for viewers, and if it had gone on longer move Sewing Bee to tomorrow and delay Who Do You Think You Are?

So they've come off air at 9:30, no idea what they'll throw on to get to 10.

TAW is on BBC Two at 10, and God knows what that's shunted off.

God I hate Wimbledon.
Not Going Out now on BBC One.

Not Going Out… But Murray is!

OK so they've thrown on a random episode of Not Going Out.

They could have started Sewing Bee now, have the news late, and have done.

The BBC have done some howlers during this fortnight in past years but this one is a classic.
At least Clare Balding is actually going to get to present TAW tonight, after 3 days of competition

Clare Balding exists!

Doing a sit down interview with Emma Raducanu whilst the roof is closing

Wait did Clare Balding actually appear *on screen*? I'm shocked ? Big Grin

No, not yet. She did say more than two sentences though.

Sue said Today at Wimbledon at 10pm on BBC Two. I'll believe when I see it.

Not Going Out repeat roled out for 9:30 on BBC One.

Which is a pun the announcer should have built into his continuity, an open goal missed there

Part 2/2 of Lenny Henry’s Caribbean Britain has been dropped on BBC Two, as has an episode of QI that briefly was scheduled for 10pm
EDIT: A repeat of QI is blown up on Two, with Newsnight shunted back to, I assume, 11.

This was bad, but not as bad as when they crashed out of coverage on BBC2 on Men's Final's/Mixed Double's day a few years ago (2019 IIRC).
I wonder why they didn’t just do Today at Wimbledon on BBC One for the next half hour. Is there a rule that tennis highlights must not appear on BBC One?

Was due to be the second part of a Lenny Henry documentary.

No, just that Murray must appear on BBC One I think.

They could have had a half an hour obituary for Andy and Emma, probably rate better than some bang average comedy.

Agreed, I thought that would be a good way to fill a gap.
