We could hear them fine in the stadium, they didn't need to shout but with the speakers facing outwards I suspect they didn't realise this from the centre. Shazia Mirza did the warmup and I joked with my dad that if she kept that up she'd have no voice left pretty quickly. Fortunately she didn't have too many lines but the humour in them was lost in the delivery.
Having watched it back on TV (although I skipped parts) they did a good job of hiding the athletes who made a quick exit after they'd reached the end of the home straight or tried to cross the path from the centre later. The only other thing to note was we didn't hear the message for the Kenyan team in the stadium although we heard all of the others and saw them on the screens in the stadium.
Very well organised but lots of people got there incredibly early. Start time on the tickets was 19:15 as that included a warm-up and a rehearsal of some dance moves they wanted the audience to do during the Ginny Lemon bit (spelling out "brum" YMCA-style) that no-one in the audience actually remembered to do because there was no prompt and it wasn't really in a stand-out part of the song, but watching back on TV you see the cast doing it.

I'm surprised they don't have a studio set-up at the Aquatics Centre, I expected Clare Balding and her guests to be there rather than Centenary Square.
