Launch New BBC Sport Graphics

I didn't mention it at the time, due to being so busy, but I did notice on the exit credits of Wimbledon that Moov was involved in the graphics. As we know, Moov was responsible for the frankly terrible "on screen graphics" used in the BBC Snooker coverage (ie full-width always-on scoreboard and a pointless transparent black box below it). So the fact that they're randomly using gradients does not surprise me, as they're probably trying to "innovate" while doing it badly.

I don't think it's random. As you know the ENTIRE BBC's using gradients now.

PS I can't see why iPlayer/Sounds/Sport have coloured text and a black background with channels using plain black text without a background

PPS Didn't even notice the use of the Wimbledon gradient rather than the Open gradient.

It highlights the difference between the services and the channels. It's a carryover of the "Watch on iPlayer" design we see online.
