I would hope they all take a slightly different angle - perhaps one with Conservative voters, one with non-conservative voters and one with supposedly undecided voters.

Ultimately though I'm not sure there is much value in them prior to the selection of the final two, which won't be until after these three debates according to the timetable set out today.

I thought this too - Channel 4 seems like a very odd place for wannabe Conservative leaders to set their stall out.  If this were a General Election or major referendum, I'd say sure.  I can only assume that it'll be a major test of scrutiny for the candidates.  I genuinely think they'd be better off having them grilled by Andrew Neil.

You gotta remember that the party membership as a whole will make the final decision, so these debates are more about appealing to the membership than anything else.
