Possible The One Show will do something but as the Commonwealth Games start the day before it may be off air, unless it moves to BBC2 again.

Well it would give the final of neighbours an extra boost for the UK, I’m sure C5 wouldn’t mind, seeing as it would be the very last neighbours, which was made mainly for the UK viewers 

Also, with the production costs of neighbours did they ever do product placement advertising like they do on corrie or Emmerdale, or this no a common thing down under in Aussie tv? As I sure that could of helps with the cost of the show ?! 

Ah well either way, hope the bbc mark the end one way or another.

Quite a fundamental misunderstanding of how commercial TV and rights work here! There’s no way Channel 5 - a business which makes money from advertising - would give away what could be one of its highest rating (and advertiser-attracting) programmes of the year. I assure you C5 (or, to be precise, those in charge of accounts and revenue at C5) would mind.
