There is a report in The Guardian which says that Extinction Rebellion are planning a sit down protest to take place at the British F1 GP at Silverstone later today. Northamptonshire Police have advised the group to have an alternative protest which is somewhere off-circuit away from the race track.

Have the Police engaged with broadcasters such as Sky, Channel 4 & the BBC about this unfolding situation for Sunday's race.

It is very dangerous to be going out on a race track when a live motorsport race is in progress especially when it's on a huge motor racing circuit like Silverstone. If we want to reduce the likelihood of having possible fatalities at the race itself. Putting this protest out of harms way away from Silverstone itself is the best solution in my view.
