Freeview changes: 29th/30th June as COM7 closes

Am I right in saying that if you still have an On/ITV Digital box it's now effectively bricked?

Since digital switch over was completed in 2012, ITV/On Digital boxes have been bricks! (Some would argue they were bricks pre-DSO!).

They were actually fully compliant to DVB T standards, more so than some of the crap that was sold at the start of the Freeview era. All they couldn't decode was the proprietary 7 day EPG, which OnDigital never carried, and what killed them was the change at DSO from 2k FFT to 8k. When OnD launched 8k chip sets were not quite available, so the UK uniquely launched DTT at 2k. Every other country in the world who adopted DVB T used 8k

Going back to Autotune features, all three of my T2 telles if left alone do actually automatically add channels fine, but it takes a few days for them to work out what's what
