Odd promotion of this by BBC television.
Whilst radio trails focus on both men's and women's competitions, the trail I saw this morning, seems to reduce the fortnight to the South West London leg of the WTA tour.

I know its part of the summer long 'we know our place' women's sport campain, but to run this over and above the most well known tennis fortnight of the year, is a little puzzling.

It is odd to miss completely omit one of the two main competitions. You could make an argument in the BBC's defence that the biggest names in the men's singles are so noteworthy they don't need mentioning I guess, but one that is not watertight.
