But what if a non-BBC promo goes into a BBC promo?  The stretch animation wouldn't serve much purpose without the blip starting it

Lyric... they're ALL BBC promos. The BBC don't show advertising. Plus they can just use the stretch animation in the endboard.

I don't like to pay attention to the guts of companies, so I didn't know this - carry on
