A much faster switch in France. On fransat everything is hd I think. DTT in UK started before France but ferryside which was dtt only first was 2007.

Ferryside was a small scale experiment for DSO. All analogue except for BBC 2 was switched off in March 2005, BBC 2 analogue continued there until 2009, because of the BBC 2/ BBC 2W thing on DTT/D-Sat.
