Well that sounds pretty magnificent. EastEnders came between MOTD and the Party at the Palace, so I guess it was a live trail and presentation having a bit of fun with it.

The TV Forum thread has some more details, including a How Did They Do That? style explanation.

Very nicely done, I can't think of any example like that since?
