Granada's TV Rental Stuff

20-odd years later, I've still not quite got my head around the merger/demerger that took place, but in 2000 Granada merged with the caterer Compass Group, did a big reorganisation, then demerged again minus all of the hospitality bits. (Compass sold off the service station chain, then named Moto, a few years later.)

I'd mostly forgotten about the rental side of things until the other day when I was reading in Private Eye about how ITV plc are apparently avoiding their responsibilities to the Box Clever pension scheme, which they're responsible for.
