The ratings drop was inevitable. It'll settle around 100k which for what the channel is isn't a bad return, but just shows they're significantly overly investing in the likes of Piers though. Of course though with Murdoch it's never about a return on ratings when it comes to the news media - it's about influence.
9pm for Morgan is risky considering Osbourne is not far off oblivion in that hour. I expect the 23 hours of radio simulcasts are getting near to zero ratings now. Even on launch night, McAndrew was only getting 6,300.
The Talk feels like the filler of the block hence why it rates low. Personally I think that would do better at 7pm then the other two shows pushed back an hour but ultimately the real issue is the channel basically starts cold at 7pm. Talk Radio may be cheap filler but ultimately the three hour made for TV block suffers without a daytime block behind it.
