What is especially intriguing is that Talk TV hasn't been subject to the Twitter witch-hunt that GB News was, despite the Murdoch backing.  No requests to companies to boycott advertising, etc.  Is that because we're out of lockdown this time round and people, frankly, have better things to do, or is there another reason?

I dare say by calling themselves Talk TV it means they can more easily say that programmes such as Pier's are primarily 'talk' (or shout) programmes, as opposed to a channel that has News in it's name.  It may also help that most of the day it's essentially Talk Radio, which has already been in existence for several years.

I think also Murdoch is a known quantity and as much as he is criticised for his papers and Fox News he also guided the much respected Sky News for three decades or so.

In addition Talk TV hasn't been making false promises and tried to find an audience by slagging off their competitors and making ludicrous claims about offering balance or serving those outside the"London elite"
