A couple of new details from Jim Waterson in The Guardian ahead of Talk TV's launch:

- Appearance fees are reported to be very high for Piers Morgan interviews

That's the 'trouble' with this format. If it's just people who agree with each other night after night, it quickly gets boring except to a hard core of fans (eg. Farage on GB News). Presumably Piers needs people to 'argue' with in order to generate social media pantomime clips, otherwise no-one will bother scrolling right down the EPG to watch.

I agree with David's analysis. I wasn't under any illusion that this programming might appeal to me, but I noticed the titles for Piers show (in the preview loop) features "SAVE FREE SPEECH!" and "WAKE UP!" which confirmed my lack of interest.

As a pres fan, from what I've seen so fair the look is fairly neat and professional, if a little uninspired.
