I’ve read of a Scotland game against Australia(?) in the 1980s which ended up on Channel 4 as it clashed with TV-AM. Not sure if that was a competitive international or a friendly.
In terms of non home nations, there have been some. The Italy v Russia playoff for the 1998 World Cup being was on C4 (in the Football Italia days). Definitely remember the match in Italy being live, can’t remember about the Russian leg of the tie.
