No, and I get that argument. I'm personally a fan of filling the space and would rather watch a pan and scan as opposed to letterbox in the olden days. The only thing I tend not to do at home is "zoom" 4:3 material as with it almost certainly being SD, it doesn't look pretty when blown up further.
