So all BBC TV news output is more or less being simulcast across BBC 1, NC & World News. The days of World News being an almost entirely separate operation from BBC domestic TV news (NC & BBC 1 bulletins) seems is well & truly over.
The amount of simulcasting now would've been out of the question even 10 years ago and unthinkable 15-20 years ago. There's nothing wrong with sharing resources between the NC & WN of course, but if this had happened 15 years ago, World would've flown out their own journalist to anchor their bulletins from Kyiv, with Clive there for News 24 and BBC 1 only.
BBC WN only takes up the first 20 minutes of the News at 1 and 6, when they are covering the Ukraine story with Clive and Lyse. Then, they opt out and continue with Impact and Global (although with generic branding).
I don´t see what is the problem with that. They even opt out during the headlines at the TOTH.
