I know they only came off air yesterday, but given it looks unlikely to come back - does anyone know what might happen with the slots now available on Freeview? Would it have to go to a news service, or could other channels bid for the places?

Perhaps this is all so unprecedented it'll take a while to work through all the legalities and appropriate bureaucratic processes?
