Being picky - wouldn’t they just have removed it from from the multiplex before it was uplinked to the satellite? Might not have needed any change on the satellite itself.

It's dependent on whether Globecast cut the feed, or whether SES Astra did. If Globecast did, then it's just a dead stream at the satellite, but if SES Astra did, it would involve what I said before.

There's no way that SES would have done anything, the transport stream that is sent to the satellite is a multiplex of several channels and is created by whichever companies are handling the channel's distribution and uplink. If the channel line up needs changing then its up to either the transport stream or the metadata that accompanies it to be changed.

The satellite owner can't do it unless they just switched off the whole transponder and that affects everything on it. That's not the way it will have been done
