France-based Globecast was the provider for the RT transmissions via Astra 19.2°E and Eutelsat 13°E at least (which are also now off-air), and possibly for the Astra 2 version seen in the UK as well. (You can't tell this from the DVB "provider" info as you can with 19.2°E/13°E as this is always set to "BSkyB" on 28.2°E due to technical requirements of the Sky UK platform).
This could have been the "French satellite" that Nadine Dorries was referring to, despite the satellites themselves being owned by Luxembourg's SES.
