Not sure, away from Takeaway there is zero chance it would be over 3m. It being left on the shelf for so long is telling
Dancing on ice is on thin ice too with just 3.5m and it is adding very little in timeshift (400k). It's under 4m most weeks.
Which is pretty poor return given the very big price tag attached. What with it having to be live every week and the months of pre production. 2023 could be the last I reckon. (Until it is revived in 2029)
I suspect it might go below 3m even after Takeaway before the series is out. Not sure about the time spent on the shelf. If they didn't rate it, I can't imagine they'd have given it such a big slot out of Takeaway, and moved The Voice out of the way for it. It suggests there was some degree of hope going into it. It's not flopping (yet) but the numbers are not very impressive.
Dancing on Ice isn't doing well but I think has got a couple of years left in it yet just because of how difficult it will be to replace. None of the new swings in the talent show space have done very well (although none of them have been very good either, and you'd hope that now TV production appears to be close to normal again we'll get some better attempts in the near future).
