The thing is, something which has been quoted a few times is that Channel 5 think the soap is “stale”… it’s not just stale, it’s got rigor mortis. It’s dreadful. It’s banal, infantile one dimensional drivel, watching it for 10 minutes just for giggles, is painful, it’s biff and chip storytelling. the scope of the show is so limited, I think it can’t be saved because it’s genuinely run out of road.
