Then again it's a bit ridiculous to have different combinations of hosts on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. Ideally your A-team would do at least four days a week.
The fact that ITV don't even seem to be in any hurry to firm up any potential candidates to replace Piers is bizarre given that's been nearly a year now.
It would have been better to draft in a full-time temporary replacement from about Easter (similar to how Kate and Dan Lobb held the Daybreak fort for the first 8 months of 2012 until the Aled/Lorraine relaunch that September) than to continue with this endless roster of guest presenters indefinitely - similar to the One Show, which seemingly anyone can turn up to present these days ?
