Not sure why you're getting so hung up on an aside - and I never claimed you couldn't get them online. And I get my caviar from Aldi thank you very much. 
Worldwide sales have dropped more than 80% in a decade, and this report blames the drop in the UK as much on the collapse of the high street as it does on Netflix, which is all I was highlighting in my anecdotal evidence from my own experience, and suggesting that as a result perhaps the market in archive TV channels is a bit more resilient than it might be, especially as older shows often struggle to clear the legal hurdles to be streamed.
