Sophy Ridge would be my pick. She’d be a great addition to their election night coverage too.

not sure they’d give her this show, given how she’s barely made waves on her own version, which has never ever been a ‘must watch’. As a side issue, I wonder if she’ll ever return to it. If they keep the much spikier Trevor Phillips (who has definitely improved things), she could then do AOP.

I know this is all a guessing game but I really don’t think anyone other than Laura K, Nick R or possibly Emily M or Emma Barnett will be in the frame. Huw just doesn’t do this sort of thing (however much of a fan favourite he is here). And there’s no way they’d move this prog to Scotland, as Sky would just take advantage of doing theirs in London.

Agree with the point about the BBC moving the programme to Scotland (or even Salford), despite the need to be seen as "less London-centric".

And anyway, I don't think the Millbank studio - where the politicians go to be interviewed by BBC Breakfast - is used at weekends.
