If Piers is so irreplaceable they might as well axe the show.

I suspect the reason they're struggling to replace it is because Piers made it a toxic brand people don't want to be associated with.

I rekon they're going to have a hard time even doing that, many people still refer to it as GMTV, so you could argue that brand has also been tarnished. They're going to have to come up with a new name. I suggest "ITV Morning News", which is just a 3 hour version of the existing Lunchtime News, and they can have that one for free
