Both the 90s and 2008 North West Tonight aren't a great advert for the introduction of generic identies, although I guess 2008 shows that doing something within the framework of a generic look can work very well.
Back to the teaser clip and having played it on the main TV now I think the opening BBC Two full screen logo would work fine as an occassional bumper, but they really need to rethink how they incorporate the logo into the idents. The bigger the screen the worse it looks - and the same goes for the BBC News DOG, but I think the logo reveal part works really well, but they need to animate back to the BBC News logo from the icon at the end as well IMO.
