Thanks for the pointers re the survey. I too got very Office 365 vibes from the proposed new symbols, and I really do fear that they are just too abstract for any kind of casual recognition. I also agree that it is quite W1A.
However, as has been said a number of times, we’re all up for something radical if it means shaking up the overall branding across the BBC, so bring it on and we’ll see how it goes. For once, it seems to be a properly joined-up, total reinvention of the whole brand across everything, which can only be a good thing.
Anybody else notice the 2002-era BBC One box at the channel-picking question at the start (the same place where the ITV2 logo mentioned earlier was seen)? Made me chuckle, anyway…
