Big companies take their GDPR obligations re job applicants very seriously.
Because of COVID, the time span from applying to starting in my current job was nearly 11 months, and by the time they came to add me to the HR system, they had to ask me for all my basic details all over again as my original application had been auto-deleted for GDPR reasons.
