Agreed - I'd very much like to follow the majority of users from this place, if I can.
Perhaps someone could set up a Twitter account to log all of the various options?

Rob did say that he won't endorse a particular replacement.

It would be nice to know where everyone ends up, but I suspect that the community will splinter and a dominant replacement will take a long while to become clear

Worth remembering that the community already has splintered, there are contributors on TV Forum who do not contribute on here and some who never even joined.

I suspect Metropol will be able to indicate where the community are in the weeks to come, as will be at least one other place that can't be mentioned here.

Judging by the calibre of the would-be runners, I think it's becoming increasingly clear where the community will land so long as they don't screw it up.

At the moment https://www.tvtalkforum.co.uk/ seems like the replacement which most resembles TVLF (that's currently online). It'll be interesting to see what Clean Feed's forum offering is when it launches.
Formerly 'Charlie Wells' of TVForum.

True, but that was more a shedding than a splintering. There was what they call in politics 'an orderly transition of power'. That's not happening this time round.
Such a shame that we never saw this go live

Before the big switch is pulled I'd just like to say thanks to Rob for keeping this little community going after TVF closed. It's a shame it had to end this way but I echo everyone else in saying that your health must come first. Having the courage to prune the bad stuff from your life is never a bad thing.

As for me, well I was going to retire my username and disappear when TVF closed, it was only the smooth transfer of usernames to this site that encouraged me to continue. But this time round there isn't the same continuity and as far as I'm concerned this is the end.

So that's it for me. I'm sure I'll pop up on one or more of the replacements but never under this name and probably not to the same extent. I spend far too much time on here so it's a good opportunity to do something more constructive. I use other usernames on Twitter, Reddit and DS so feel free to say hi if you ever work out who I am there!

Bye all Cool

Is there a way of creating a ‘Which new forum are you going to join?’ poll?

It’d be useful to know where everyone’s going.
I’m probably going to let the dust settle (nothing big can happen a few weeks surely!) and see how they all pan out, when they’ve all launched.

I think the problem with this, though, is that a fair few members are waiting until the dust settles on which one to pick. As it stands, I have no particular leaning or enthusiasm towards any of the announced forums and am only going to carry over if one is clearly the favourite and has a similar vibe.
Sorry to see this close but what matters is that Rob gets better and moves on (I do suffer from mental health problems after my previous job). At the moment I'll give joining another forum a miss for now.
"They don't want your name, just your number".
I've signed up for both TV Talk and the Pres Cafe. I'll see y'all there.

Ditto.
I have signed up for every new forum that sprang up
