ABC, CBS, FOX and other news channels from the USA.
That's actually quite nice - not something I often say about US news studios.

The bankrupt Black News Channel has been bought by Allen Media Group from a creditor's court. The channel, the brainchild of Bob Brillante and J.C. Watts and funded by sporting mogul Shad Khan, ended regular programming in March, with repeat and taped programming filling the time, before resuming some live programming on weekdays in May. Byron Allen's media empire bought the channel for $11 million, The Hollywood Reporter tells. Allen's initial plan is to expand the channel's distribution footprint (that is a sign he might plan to place it on his OTT/AVOD offerings). This is Allen's second acquisition of a basic cable network, the first being that of The Weather Channel.

Essentially  CBS took weak stations and made a newscast for them where they can some easy local ad money (read :political ad money) so it's a bear minimum newscast. I saw the first edition it was essentially you get local news for about 7 minutes then a couple local weather hits, and a news update local near the bottom of the hour. The national stuff feels more like infotainment and filler than newscast.  It reminds of Scripps' program that used to be called "The Now" it's done from Denver, and you get local news headlines and weather and the rest is infotainment news stories from the other Scripps stations.  KCAL-TV in LA didn't get this program because their 8-11pm Local news and sports block does well, the Pittsburgh CW station still has their own local 10pm news because it does well, and WSBK in Boston is still doing 8pm news, and doing this show at 10pm.

Here's how the program looks with Miami version

As we say goodbye to TV Live Forum, we are also saying goodbye to one of the few remaining indie stations in Los Angeles TV: Anaheim-licensed indie KDOC-TV, owned by former local broadcast owner Bert Ellis (whose company folded into Raycom Media in 1996), and which offered a mix of local entertainment shows, off-network syndicated fare, programming sourced from diginets (most recently, Heroes & Icons), paid programming from Jewelry Television, and twice-daily news programming provided by KABC 7 (an exclusive 7pm newscast anchored by Eyewitness News’ evening team, and a late night repeat of the main station’s 11pm edition) has been sold to Christian broadcaster Tri-State Christian Television (through sister company Radiant Life Ministries). Ellis sold the station as it is losing money after successfully bidding in the FCC’s spectrum auction, as well as plans to move the station into the ATSC 3.0. Starting Friday night, the station will switch to the TCT network, with local programming ceasing altogether; this is causing the lay-offs of virtually all station staff.

Some of the station’s local programming offerings have announced plans to move to new outlets. For example, NWA Championship Wrestling Hollywood is moving to a streaming-only format going forward, through niche OTT service FiteTV and globally on YouTube.

And it is my final post here in this thread. Hoping to resume to conversation soon over at the new place.
