Talk TV using a 2G mobile signal. Picture is unbelievably bad.

I though we were going to be treated to a graphic-free statement on the BBC, but then we spent most of it with this informative caption.

Very proud to have witnessed this moment in history!

Peston is always good value on an open ended broadcast, as he can ramble on forever filling the time

I assume the BBC took the speech from a pool feed? The camera was certainly not colour matched with the ones they are presenting on.

Playing the breakfiller on BBC One between the BBC News Special and the BBC News at One is tad unorthodox, surely they could have aired a trailer and an ident?
In fact I’m surprised BBC One can cope having not aired a trailer for BBC Three or the Mick Jagger doc for so many hours

Would you be confident with trailing anything at the moment? Could be news specials displacing programmes all over the place!

I always enjoy ITV News doing rolling coverage. Much like when they did those mornings at the weekend earlier this year.

The news of Johnson resigning is currently leading the 8am ET hour of the US breakfast shows:
NBC: ![]() ABC: ![]() CBS: ![]() The cable news networks have also been running with the story since the statement: Fox News: ![]() CNN: ![]() MSNBC: ![]() As you can see, CNN and MSNBC took the helicopter shots that BBC News and ITV News had so they must've been pool/agency.

Do you think we are going to get to the end of the BBC News at One without going over to a Working Mens Club up north to get the opinion of some voters who watched the speech?

Flicking around at 1pm and the now and next banners on DTT were all over the place - Channel 4 said it was 7pm and had tonight's Channel 4 news as on now. BBC One HD had the 'This is BBC One' regional news slot. What fun
