The lighting in the DTL position at BBC Millbank isn't great. Chris Bryant looked particularly ropey but the current interviewee's skin tones are blown out too

There seems to be a studio used for Breakfast which has a TV/screen to provide the backdrop, a CSO position and then the standing position in the newsroom. Is that correct?

I'm not sure if the one with the TV is a refurb of a previously CSO position, but I think there used to be at least two of those. There's also the position on the roof/balcony etc often used by the Pol Ed or Deputy.

Three at least. One CSO, one live newsroom shot and one main studio. I’d hazard a guess there was were various other capabilities.
The BBC just sent out a breaking news alert, with the breaking news being that Chris Mason has written an article

G-INTV helicopter now flying over London, presumably to provide some intro and closing shots for the BBC News at Ten tonight?
EDIT: My apologies, it's providing pictures for Sky right now:

Nice sunset, shame it makes the chopper camera look like it's been shifted into the red gamma by about 20 points! They used it as a nice out-of-opener shot at the top of the hour. Wonder if they'll do a tight shot on Big Ben at the top of Sky News at Ten?

That would explain the awful sound quality and visuals. Very inappropriate that they're part of this pool when they still have such poor technical standards.

We were so close to ending the day without some vox pops but of course they had to get some in.
