Good to see this in the schedule. It's a shame they didn't do something similar for Fred Dinenage.

The network showing is at 3am, which seems rather an odd time, but better than nothing I suppose. Personally think it would have been better in an earlier slot, but the programmes before it seem to have fixed times in the schedules, so may not have been possible.

Does STV still do their own continuity at that time of the evening/morning? Will be interesting to see how they introduce a programme about a regional news presenter most Scots won’t likely be aware of.

Yes they do, The STV branding is use from 9.25am till 5.59am the next day

It's not just Scottish people, most of the UK has no idea who he is. Its not really an issue at 3am when no one is watching or even expects ITV/STV to have any programming

I don’t know who this programme will feature as contributors but there must be someone significant on every news programme/outlet (apart from some of the BBC ones) who has worked with Bob in Birmingham

During the trailer just now, Sameena said something along the lines of: It’s Bob’s last day as he retires from “Central”

Tonight’s programme might be odd for those in the East Midlands who spent many years rarely seeing him on their screens. Seems unlikely that will be briefly mentioned in the documentary.

I am surprised they didn’t bring back any old faces from Central’s past and Bob’s ‘’Tv wives’’, namely Llewellaand Jo.

I happened to choose the East Midlands version and Bob did their trailer himself which featured a different story.

I wonder if any of them will turn up on the documentary or if it’ll just be those who went on national success like Tarrant.
