Have they changed the colour of the left hand column on the official graphics.  White this year with a "Centre Court 100" logo, which itself seems odd for the non-Centre Court games.  I'm sure they used to be green or purple.

The Centre Court 100 branding is a bit of a misnomer really, as it is the 100th aniversary of the whole site being used for the Championships, but from what I can gather, the Centre Court the only court still in the same posititon (or something like that). Guess Centre Court 100 would make more sense to a wider audience than Church Road 100.

Was wondering the same earlier. Your query made me check and indeed they were green before (at least in 2019 anyway).

Yes, it's on all courts.

Would have sworn it used to be purple but green it is then.   And Day 1 and looks like Today at Wimbledon is out yet again.   Wish they'd just move it to 10.35 on BBC1 and officially end the live coverage at 9pm.   If games finish early they can always slot in highlights of a couple of key matches.

Sue still doing continuity at 8:50, so presumably on air until the end of live BBC Two/BBC One live coverage.

Guess they'll stay with the conclusion of the Murray match on BBC One despite the scheduling troubles that will arise.

If Today at Wimbledon is cancelled, it is worth noting there will be highlights at 10pm on Eurosport 2.

Few other tidbits to note, on court interviews now on four courts this year: Centre Court (Lee McKenzie), No.1 Court (Rishi Persad), No.2 Court (Karthi Gnanasegaram) and No.3 Court (Jenny Drummond).

Red Button continuity today was with Ben Cajee then Tom Gayle. Katie Shanahan and Jenny Drummond have been the other two names to do that role for the Olympics etc. over the last year, but with Jenny doing on-court interviews presumably another voice will appear later in the week.

Sherwood has been put on BBC2, which will means their heavily advertised aids documentary at 9.30 has been sacrificed.

Not a huge amount of flexibility has been built into the two weeks for overruns - BBC1 has a DIY SOS repeat next Monday at 9pm but otherwise other than an episode of WILTY on Friday new content each night. Just a couple of repeats across the fortnight for BBC2 too.

One thing that doesn't seem to have been mentioned, although I'm not sure how relevant it is for this forum, is that the grass on Centre Court no longer fills the entire space like it used to. The ballkids and line judges are now standing on a non-grass surface and a half-moon cut out exists at the top right of the court (which is to the right of the royal box as we look at it from the tv feed). In all previous years, the whole area was covered in grass, which meant the points where the ballkids stand (at the royal box end) would be worn away by finals day. This doesn't seem to be the case on any of the other courts, which makes it a standout for me imo.

Will have to search for the world feed this year its not very obvious where to start other then Google will be my friend again Shame really as the picture quality when it was FTA was really prestine and even the netting was super sharp, this UHD feed btw where can it be found, is it on iPlayer on the native tv app?

That will mess up some people’s recordings including those who don’t seem to be able to understand how to use Iplayer (which is many of the people I know.)

It's bad enough when the BBC squeeze a couple of trailers into nine hours of non-stop Olympic coverage but no excuse to stick a couple in at 3-2 in the 4th set.

A tweaked version of that promo was used last week on the intro to the qualifying on the Red Button so looks like it has indeed continued into this week.
Usually the world feed intro appears before the start of play on the live feeds on the iPlayer but they all cut in late today.

Definitely mourning the previous world feed intro, almost perfect IMO.

The music from that 2016 world feed intro was the world feed theme for many, many years - not sure how long ultimately but it was used for a long time. Back in the days when TG4 had the Irish rights, it broadcast a nightly highlights show in English that used that theme. I hadn’t realised it had been dumped, though since the demise of eir Sport the BBC is now the only live broadcaster of Wimbledon in Ireland.

And the speedway that is on beforehand has overun and the highlights will likely be 30 mins late. The unpredictabality of live sport has certainly thrashed schedule planning today...
