Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I couldn't find anything else more suitable, but after watching Sunday Morning today on BBC 1, I was wondering if it was the first time that none of the main interwiews took place in the studio? Sophie interviewed Lisa Nandy who was in Coventry, Irish prime minister Micheál Martin was in Cork, Gordon Brown was in Inverkeithing and Grant Shapps was in Hatfield. Only the newspaper reviewers Alison Phillips and Tom Newton Dunn were in the studio.

Not at all, today was the exception. Guests are usually live unless it’s a celeb pre rec. Summer and vacations probably had a lot to do with todays show.

Marr would usually return on the Sunday before parliament returned from summer recess, so I would suspect the first episode will be on the 4th September. This should allow two/three episodes from the studio before conference season.
