Creative, strange and slightly disturbing is exactly what I want in an E4 ident package. I'm not sure if the chips from the bird ident are a nod to that one E4 ident that harkens back to classic 80s 4, but if so that's pretty cool

That's an early reveal. Very nice and very on brand though a shame the logo isn't as integrated in all of them as it is in the last. C4, More4 and arguably 4Seven really all need fresh idents too.
I think launching this as an E4 spin off is the smart way to consolidate the brand. It would be tricky to launch another sub-brand now so building on E4 for what is a rebrand of a channel full of E4-esque programmes seems the smart thing to do and even if it pulls content from E4 itself (which again seems stuck with Gogglebox and Naked Attraction repeats in primetime most nights) it will help strengthen the E4 brand too and ultimately give it a greater presence on E4 too.

Yeah, something new for Channel 4 and More4 would be nice.
Would be surprised if 4Music got new idents to reflect their return to their roots.

The idents have a very Adult Swim style to them, which is quite suited considering it's place in the E4 schedules.

E4 Extra's idents have been revealed, with idents that look scarily realistic and uncanny valley. Eels, interdimensional monsters and pelicans...
The first half of the second one could definitely pass off as an ident from Dave.

I immediately got vibes from Dave!

They should've been replaced when E4's were, when the new logos were introduced.

Which itself is nearly four years ago now. I suspect More4 may have to wait a bit longer but perhaps C4 will do something ahead of their 40th in the autumn.

That would be interesting for C4. Their current look's been around since 2015 so maybe a slight revamp would be nice.
Who knows, maybe they'll go for another radical reinvention, maybe go flat like All4.

Looks like the current branding is staying for 4Music.
Here's the promo for the big move! According to this, E4 Extra is giving 4Music a little slot in the mornings before they go on air.

They should use the Film4+1 downtime to give it a slot from 6am to Noon on Freeview, then ideally with a link to stream it the rest of the day.

Would love if this was branded as E4 Music but sounds more like a simulcast of 4Music...

The listings for Wednesday 29th that are now on tvguide.co.uk show that the 4Music block will be 7-9am. Extra shows from 9am, but from 12pm it's the same as what 4Music currently shows now, then from 9pm they're showing The Inbetweeners Movie followed by two main episodes.
07:00am: Only The Biggest Hits
07:15am: VOTW
07:20am: The Pop Squad
09:00am: Sabrina the Teenage Witch
09:30am: Sabrina the Teenage Witch
10:00am: Charmed
11:00am: Charmed
The listings are on the Box Hits slot (which still uses the older SmashHits logo), so as some suggested, it's likely they're just moving the 4Music EPG slot to the music section and using Box Hits' slot for E4 Extra

I kind of had thought they were planning on moving the shows immediately to E4 Extra, but if you're saying it's typically just what 4Music is showing now, then I assume it'll be a process of moving them over. Unless E4 will still sort of remain as a reality and unscripted channel, just with more repeats of the former than the latter.

I think that daytime schedule will be left untouched basically on both channels; removing your usual (relatively highly rated) repeats from E4, would be the TV equivalent to a súicide

Probably we're better not expecting any change to the daytime, not even in the near future.
If everything's left like it is, it means it relatively rates well with the audience
