GB News
They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines
That pint glass reminds me of a funny incident...My Dad bought a couple of champagne flutes from a charity shop as we didn't have any for the New Year celebrations. He showed them to me, but what he didn't realise was that the inscription on the glasses was not for some young couple's wedding or their anniversary, it was a promotion for a medical product used for a woman's private parts (Seriously!). We bought new ones soon afterwards!

Not that I'm making any such comparisons with GB News   Confused
When will we expect to see the nootropics and MREs?
Tom Harwood is one example of a 'client journalist' who really acts more like a political activist than a proper journalist. It's a shame really cause the likes of Darren McCaffrey and Gloria De Piero are actually decent professional reporters and presenters who are very capable and fair in the jobs they do. That's all on the matter for me. Less said the better.
<r>From TV Forum but with an extra bit of LIVE in the middle. <E>Big Grin</E></r>
Harwood just seems to have a total lack of professionalism as a journalist. Granted, he's young and inexperienced but his Twitter feed is just a mess. Full of inane babble. I almost get the impression that he's having a wind up with what he says which I just don't think is the way a political correspondent for a TV channel should act. His style seems a better fit for Guido.
Both Tom Harwood and Darren McCaffrey have been absent from GB News all day today. I think McCaffrey's been on holiday and has just got back. He's just appeared on a very dark College Green at 10pm!

GB News really need a few additional political correspondents. Their 2 journos missing all day on one of the biggest political days of the year isn't particularly good for a news channel!
As seen on BBC Newswatch

Haven't GB News got form (even in their short existence) for this before though?
Turns out poor Eamonn has had some further issues with his chronic pain and has had to take some time off from hosting Breakfast to rest up

I hope he gets better soon, it must be awful for him to have to experience it on a daily basis
Ros Atkins has interviewed for GB News Chief Executive, Angelos Frangopoulos for The Media Show, to mark the channel's first anniversary.

As expected Angelos defends the channel against its critics.  He does note that some advertising agencies refusing to buy spots on the channel has had an impact on revenue, as have inflationary pressures on the cost side.

He does avoid directly referring to TalkTV - saying it's a mistake to build a channel around one person - until pressed at the end.

Seems to be an issue with GBNews' live streams on youtube.

I could see myself un-ironically using that Breakfast mug - looks pretty nice!
If you wait a while longer, you'll be able to buy the desks/sofas and gallery kit. Big Grin

I found some of his replies were contradictory or didn't make sense. Ros Atkins questioned him on the Guto Harri issue and then compared it to a two way between Wootton and Farage who were agreeing with each other and there wasn't really a coherent reason he gave for why one said Harri broke their 'charter', yet two right-wing presenters have free reign to say what they like.

The other is that Angelos called GB News a "mainstream channel" in an attempt to make it more attractive to advertisers. While it's true they've joined the Westminster pool and have provided some mainstream programming during breakfast and early afternoon, it still feels like the "rebel" channel that it was designed to be which was to provide an alternative to BBC News and Sky News impartial programming.
Wow, one year since GB News launched!
