BBC Online: 2021 Rebrand

I like the new design, but the CBBC and CBeebies websites have not got the updated design. They don't have the notification bell bit on the top left I think, so maybe the BBC might be trying to find a way to get the new design on the children's websites without that notification bell button?

CBBC and CBeebies have a bespoke global header/navigation, with completely different links to the rest of the BBC website. I'm imagine now the main global headers have been gone live after much testing variations for CBBC and CBeebies will be created in a similar style.

I don't like the new mobile version. The centred BBC logo does not line up well with the text such as 'News' or 'Sport' below it. The icons all look like they were designed by different people

Seems like BBC Three's been removed from navigation. Likely the Three page will get merged with Newsbeat and BBC iPlayer.

Where "bbc.co.uk/bbcthree" will actually link to the iPlayer page.

I agree, and I hate the fact that there are now 2 burger menus not in any kind of alignment, it’s really quite janky and unpolished.

I notice the BBC navigation bar has this afternoon updated across all sites:

Just had a look.. not a fan of how tall it is..
It does annoy me that a lot of interfaces on desktop seem to have gotten much larger, for "mobile-first"
I can't see what's so wrong about making it a bit smaller, with the reduced number of links they should also be able to get rid of the "more" tab as well if it were smaller

Maybe the size is so that the text can be replaced by the app icons eventually?

The text is to remain in the header, but eventually icons are to be added to the left of each navigation item

Nope, but I would suggest emptying your cache and log back into the site. That should resolve any issues

BBC mobile website header has been refreshed. Much like the headers for the Apps.
