Pres side of this show is fine. But the editorial is going to get more and more problematic quickly. There’s only so much a UK audience wants to hear about the US. The programme overlooks its main audience frankly.

Also the lack of the Susanna figure is obviously the other major flaw. I think Piers and his team have seriously underestimated how much she brought out the humour and anger and general entertainment factor in him.

I always roll my eyes when Piers rants about meatless products, nobody is forcing him to eat them nor are they replacing meat products

Intrigued as to who holiday cover will be given Piers took a lot of time off at GMB. Osborne? Kyle? Ditto for The News Desk.

My guess is Kate McCann will dep for Tom.

As for the Morgan show, considering it's for three international markets, I think they'll give it a break when he's off and extend either The News Desk or The Talk to two hours.

News UK and Murdoch has access to numerous rent a gobs who can stand in for a week or even a month.   Kyle is probably most likely but if he takes 6-8 weeks off in the summer they might try another show there, especially as they'll likely be looking to expand the schedule moving forward anyway.

I get the impression that Osborne maybe hasn’t worked out in the pilots which has led to Kyle joining the show. The format seems ok but she’s not the right person for it.

The panel is a nice idea for the end part of the news show, but maybe they should have planned to do without it this evening.

Rushing Kate back to the News Building (on a motorbike they said) from her earlier post outside Downing Street feels a bit pointless for the 3 minutes of debate/discussion they've just managed. Not even mentioning the other 2 coming in especially.

When she was at Westminster and then in the studio on Monday, I thought using the Jubilee line would be sufficient time for her to get back to London Bridge.

I think he made a comment about the tube last night, but a motorbike tonight! Surely Kate isn’t going to be on the panel every night?

And in any case, the Jubilee isn't anywhere as busy at 7.20pm. It's a short 8 minute trip between Westminster and London Bridge.
