Not if he used to walk to TV Centre for GMB,

I imagine because of the early starts, Piers would have been driven or drove to GMB rather than walk.

Piers is on Lorraine tomorrow morning (well this morning to be accurate) so it at the very least gives them something to discuss at length.

In fact in the article that Piers wrote in The Sun about the interview with Trump, it appears that Piers was even lucky that the interview even went ahead as Trump found about tweets that Piers put out about January 6th.

We know from his GMB days that Piers is able to use his off-camera 'relationship' with Trump to get interviews with him. Therefore, my reaction to this MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT that they've secured an interview with him is... meh.

The whole style of that promo says a lot to me about the channel and its style. Big bold letters, clickbait editing, and very tabloidesque phrasing. It's not just an interview, it's the "MOST EXPLOSIVE INTERVIEW OF THE YEAR" with "A FORMER PRESIDENT IN DENIAL".

The phrasing of 'Morgan v Trump' irks me, as well. An interview is meant to be... an interview - an exchange of questions, answers, and discussion. 'Morgan v Trump' makes it clear that having a sensible discussion isn't the goal. It makes it sound like it'll be some dreadful combative slanging match. All sounds a bit 'Jeremy Kyle'. While I'm sure that'll go down well with many, that's not at all what I want to watch, personally.

I will dip into the channel upon its launch to see what it's like and give it a fair chance as I'm aware I'm pre-judging something before it's even got on air but I don't have high hopes that it'll be for me based on everything I've seen so far.

I do feel that Piers Morgan Uncensored is going to more like Piers Morgan Same Old, Same Old and some may like it but to me it feels like he is a caricature. I much preferred his interview style in the 2000s  when he did programmes like You Can't Fire Me I'm Famous and The Dark Side of Fame.

Also, I thought it was odd he made fun of Dan Walker going to Channel 5  on Twitter when Talk TV is going to have a much lower reach.

The NBC News article has just proven the flaws of releasing interview clips so long in advance. It worked in the case of the Oprah interview with Harry & Meghan, but iirc, it was at most a couple of days before the broadcast. If (and it's a VERY big if) Trump's team is giving the more truthful depiction, it does not look good for TalkTV's reputation, even with the old adage that all publicity is good publicity, and it hasn't even launched yet!

It's not a great start, people look for, well atleast I do when choosing a news station, balanced and honest views. This channel is obviously going for the deceptive and fake news angle, which to be honest I'm not entirely surprised about.

I'll watch the first few shows merely from a TV technical point of view but it isn't for me content wise.
